This Antique Sterling Silver Cheese Scoop is in the Josephine Pattern, circa 1899 and made by the Howard Sterling Company of Providence and New York.  Howard Sterling Company was bought by Roger Williams Silver Company, then by Mount Vernon Silver Company which was bought out by Gorham Manufacturing in 1913.

This Antique Cheese Scoop measures 6" long and about 1" wide at the Scoop end.  It has no Monogram and is marked with the 3 initial Hallmark identifying it as the Howard Sterling Company together with the retailer, "L. Kimball and Son".  It weighs 27.5 Grams.

This Antique "Josephine" Cheese Scoop has been used; it is in very good Condition with overall scratches and remains unpolished.
