'After just one year of being a full time massage therapist at a spa, I began feeling tendonitis in my forearms, tightness in my shoulders, and soar thumbs. I knew I had a gift and wanted to help others but I couldn’t continue hurting my own body. With my Forearm Dance skills, I confidently know that I can be with and help clients from the most sensitive fascia, to the most dense and tight fascia, without sacrificing my own body. Forearm Dance is absolutely brilliant! It’s rare to find a teacher with such incredible skill, wisdom, and a presence who is willing and wanting to share this with other practitioners.'    - Nami, Spa and Private Practice Massage Therapist

'Spa and Private Practice Massage Therapist When faced with the reality of seeing 20 or more clients per week, I found myself with sore hands, tight forearms, and ultimately a shoulder injury. Working with Val and integrating the Forearm Dance into every session I give has allowed me not only to overcome my injuries, but also to find greater openness and freedom in my body as a whole. With each Forearm Dance class I take or assist, I add new layers to my understanding and knowledge. Where I once sacrificed my own wellbeing to give a client the desired pressure, I now have the tools to effectively satisfy my clients while actually improving my own wellbeing. Val has taught me to use my entire body, from feet, through pelvis and up and out through my chest and arms, to lift and open the stagnant tissue in my clients, instead of smashing it downwards, creating a virtuous circle of energy and release.'    - Debra, Massage Therapist Sports Club LA

'As a therapist, my body thanks you! I was amazed at how much energy I had. The energy generating techniques that Val taught us and the nature of the Forearm Dance itself, is tremendous in allowing a massage therapist to work far and beyond the usual limitations. I think that this technique will be invaluable to body workers and extremely efficacious to clients!'    - Milly, Spa and Private Practice Massage Therapist

'On this beautiful DVD filmed by the ocean, she shows you how to use the concepts of yang action, yin support, elongation and self-awareness with a little Hawaiian hula so you put less strain on your body and work more deeply. She offers a class in “forearm dance,” showing step by step how to work both broadly and with specificity, how to “hook and release” a muscle using forearm and olecranon as your tools. She shows two complete sessions, one with explanation and one with music. And she leads a practice she calls “the spiral,” incorporating the horse pose, the lunge and “hula hands,” that raises chi and makes the “forearm dance” as invigorating for the practitioner as it is healing for the client. Guin is a spirited and inspiring teacher. She generously offers a portion of the proceeds to charity.'

Val Guin is an internationally-known, certified massage therapist who has been doing bodywork for over 25 years. She is a founding member of the Santa Monica Center of Healing Arts where she maintains a private practice. Val is the Executive Director of the IPSB (Institute of Psycho Structural Balancing), California College of Massage and Bodywork in California, which features the IPSB Massage Technique.

Learning is exciting with Val, a gifted teacher who is frequently invited to present seminars and instruction at AMTA and other massage training events. The intuitive nature of her massage technique is reflected in the visual style of the FOREARM DANCE DVD, which enhances the quality of the learning experience.

After suffering severe injuries in her back and arm after being hit by a drunk driver, Val created Forearm Dance as a self-healing and practitioner-friendly form of massage. Val’s objective? Help you to save your hands and strength, keep your clients coming back for more and extend your massage career by using your forearm and olecranon (elbow) as a tool.

Val Guin’s Forearm Dance was written and produced by Ohana Productions Inc., founded by Val Guin and her daughter Natiya Guin. Ohana is the Hawaiian word for ‘family’, meaning “parents, their children and those they cherish”. The mission of Ohana Productions is to create instructional video programs to help people cope with and find freedom from stress and pain. Val, Natiya and team “Ohana” are also setting a new standard of responsibility in instructional massage programming and production. In order to reduce waste and promote recycling of manufactured goods the duo developed an 80% recycled packaging.

A portion of the proceeds from purchases of Forearm Dance are donated to the non-profit, charitable organization, Share Our Strength.

My name is Andrew Kamchi, and I work for the Institute for Therapeutic Massage (ITM), and the Institute for Massage & Spa Therapy Education (IMSTE).

Fast. Easy. Free. No Minimums. Green Packaging - We strive to minimize waste and lessen our impact on the environment by recycling and repurposing everything possible, including the shipping box when possible.

SHIPPING & HANDLING

We work very hard to ship out all orders as quickly as possible, and ask that you allow 1-2 business days for this product to leave our warehouse after payment is received. Depending on the delivery service, this item takes between 2 and 5 business days to arrive once shipped - perhaps 1 or 2 days longer if you are in an extremely remote area of the United States. We utilize UPS, FedEx, and USPS for shipping, and can not be held responsible for delays on their part. We will, however, work feverishly to find out what the issue is should the product not arrive on time, or in a damaged state.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Products That Arrived With Manufacturers Defect / Damaged

If, for some reason, your product arrives with a manufacturers defect or damaged, it will be replaced at no cost to you. Depending on the circumstances, we may ask you to send us a picture of the damaged packaging / product so that a claim can be filed, or to alert the manufacturer of an issue.

Return Of Products For Resons Other Than Manufacturer Defect

For any reason other than a manufacturers defect or damage during shipping, you can return your item(s) for a merchandise credit, or refund, but only if they are unopened, unused, and in their original / unused condition so they can be resold.

In this case, you are responsible for the cost of shipping back to us, and a restocking fee of 20% will be deducted to cover the cost of the original shipping. eBay / Paypal has this built into their system and it will occur automatically at the time of the refund.

Please email us for a return address.

Once we receive your return, we will send you the replacement product, authorize a credit, or generate a refund based on your indicated choice.

Is this product brand new and in its original packaging?

Yes, every product we sell is brand new, and sent to you in the original packaging. We are an authorized retailer for all manufacturers that have their products listed in our eBay store. The packaging may include shrink wrapping, tape along the opening of a case, or nothing at all. Please note that some manufacturers do not apply any extra packaging / protection to their products, particularly with regards to books. We take as much time as needed to make sure that the product you order is sent to you with the protection that is needed to minimize possible damage. If damage occurs, we will gladly issue a replacement if so desired.

We will combine and discount shipping for multiple items whenever and where ever possible. It is our goal to save you money.

Do you ship internationally?
