THESE 2003 180 GRAM series, The Rolling Stones Remastered, is one of the most comprehensive restoration and remastering programs ever undertaken for a major catalog.

The new Rolling Stones LPs were remastered using Sony's Direct Stream Digital (DSD) system. In this case, you likely will not be able to hear any of the telltale digital sound that usually turns so many audiophiles off. Nobody embraces analogue more than we do here at MYMUSICFIX, and after listening to Let It Bleed, we found that reissue to be very warm, rich and analogue-like. We predict the same sonic results from the other titles.

As music critic Michael Fremer points out, "If you own American-pressed originals, I think you will be more than pleased by these reissues, which don't sound at all 'digital' in the cliched sense. If you own UK Decca originals, you're not in the market for these anyway."

Fremer also says in his musicangle review that, "Overall, image solidity, three-dimensionality and harmonic integrity on these releases, pressed at RTI on 180g vinyl, is far better than expected. Bass extension is also quite good, and I don't think anyone will be disappointed with the overall dynamic expression."

ALL ABKCO 180G Records ARE Limited Edition re-mastered Rolling Stones releases. The original analog tape sources were used and then transferred using DSD-equipment to these new masters resulting in the best sound these LPs have had in years.

ABKCO Records has released Limited Edition re-mastered Rolling Stones releases. The original analog tape sources were used and then transferred using DSD-equipment to these new masters resulting in the best sound these LPs have had in years.

You should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.

HITMAKERS - THE STONES got their groove on early, making one of the few originals here, the blues pastiche “Little By Little”, a standout. The self-titled debut album by THE ROLLING STONES laid the blueprint for the next several releases of their career. They had a couple of original songs and a liberal dose of the hardcore rhythm and blues that made them the evil twins of The Beatles.

The first three songs – Not Fade Away – Route 66 and I Just Want To Make Love To You (later made famous by Foghat) all show the raw energy of the band. “Tell Me” is a fine original composition – “I’m A King Bee” sets up Mick Jagger’s persona of the sexual lothario and “Carol” starts the trend of having a Chuck Berry cover on their first few albums.

While taking on Chuck Berry, Muddy Waters, Buddy Holly and Marvin Gaye on a debut album would rightfully have daunted many a young band, this bunch just rocks it all. Outside the general toughness of sound and the front-cover glares, there’s little of the bad ass attitude that would begin to define them with the next album. Jagger, Richards, Jones, Wyman and Watts are mainly about the music. It is a solid debut.

BIG HITS - This is the version of big hits that was released on April 1, 1966 in the U.S. Noteworthy for the first album appearance of “19th Nervous Breakdown” and the hit version of “Time Is On My Side”, this first collection in a long line of Rolling Stones retrospectives collects the early singles of a band that was slowly and surely becoming the World’s Greatest Rock & Roll Band. They’re hungry here and they churn out a scruffy version of the Buddy Holly hit, “Not Fade Away” and “Get Off Of My Cloud”. At the start, you have their trademark song “I Can’t Get No Satisfaction” which may rank right up there with The Beatles’ Hey Jude and Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven as being the greatest rock and roll song of all time.

OUT OF OUR HEADS -  In the few months since the release of NOW!, the Stone’s sound had grown harder; even a ballad like “That’s How Strong My Love Is” attains a rumble that’ll make you think a big truck is driving by your house. OUT OF OUR HEADS was released in the U.S. on July 30, 1965.

This LP showed their 1965 sound at its rawest and features one of the band’s first original classics — “Heart Of Stone.” It also features a couple of early pop gems with “I’m Free” and the sublimely-cynical “The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man.”

UK PRESSING WITH THE RED & BLACK MARKETING STICKERS FROM 2003

THEIR MAJESTIES SATANIC REQUEST - No Stones album split critical opinion as much as their stab at psychedelia. Uncut magazine concluded that although the record has long been derided as the Stones’ misguided attempt to outdo the Beatles, it is, in fact, “a neglected psychedelic masterpiece” and “superior to Sgt. Pepper as a document of that first British summer of love.” It featured their most innovative arrangements, which incorporated African rhythms and full orchestration. BETWEEN THE BUTTONS UK - Apart from having one of the most stunning sleeves — a classic Gerald Mankowitz photograph — this album marked a high point in the band’s career. It is arguably the richest straight-pop collection the Stones ever made. The songs were also full of acute social observation and savage lyrics. It also includes Keith’s first solo vocal performance with “Connection.” Track Listings Yesterday's Papers My Obsession Back Street Girl Connection She Smiled Sweetly Cool, Calm & Collected All Sold Out Please Go Home Who's Been Sleeping Here? HOT ROCKS 1964-71 - DOUBLE LP SET -

Originally released in 1972, Hot Rocks came out at the Rolling Stones' absolute creative peak and it's 21 tracks represent seven years worth of rock 'n' roll history. Features five #1 singles, including “(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Honky Tonk Women.”

"This two-LP... set is both a lot more and a bit less than what it seems. It is seven years' worth of mostly very high-charting -- and all influential and important -- songs, leaving out some singles in favor of well-known album tracks, and in the process, giving an overview not just of the Rolling Stones' hits but of their evolving image. One hears them change from loud R&B-inspired rockers covering others' songs ("Time Is on My Side") into originators in their own right ("Satisfaction"); then into tastemakers and style-setters with a particularly decadent air ("Get Off of My Cloud," "19th Nervous Breakdown"); and finally into self-actualized rebel-poets ("Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Midnight Rambler") and Shaman-like symbols of chaos. On its initial release, Hot Rocks sold well, not only as a unique compilation but also as a panorama of the 1960s... an exciting assembly of material." - allmusic

"This is pure British ‘60s music... Of course, the mega-hit 'Satisfaction' is included. The catchy electric guitar chords (Richards, who would become synonymous with rock grooves) and propulsive rhythm mesh perfectly, and The Rolling Stones celebrated their first No. 1 U.S. single. The sexual anti-establishment imagery lends an air of rebellion (they certainly 'freaked out' Ed Sulliivan). It stands the test of time... At the core of the music is Jagger’s go-for-broke singing. He can handle blues, pop r & b, even a country twang... [T]he acoustics shimmer on audiophile vinyl. Low-end mixing shines a light (no pun intended) on overlooked members Wyman and Watts. The guitars are crisp, but still maintain that trademark, relaxed band dynamic."

LET IT BLEED Abkco's Rolling Stones Let It Bleed on 180-gram LP

"Mostly recorded without Brian Jones — who died several months before its release (although he does play on two tracks) and was replaced by Mick Taylor (who also plays on just two songs) — this extends the rock and blues feel of Beggars Banquet into slightly harder-rocking, more demonically sexual territory. The Stones were never as consistent on album as their main rivals, the Beatles, and Let It Bleed suffers from some rather perfunctory tracks, like 'Monkey Man' and a countrified remake of the classic 'Honky Tonk Woman' (here titled 'Country Honk'). Yet some of the songs are among their very best, especially 'Gimme Shelter,' with its shimmering guitar lines and apocalyptic lyrics; the harmonica-driven 'Midnight Rambler'; the druggy party ambience of the title track; and the stunning 'You Can't Always Get What You Want,' which was the Stones' 'Hey Jude' of sorts, with its epic structure, horns, philosophical lyrics, and swelling choral vocals. 'You Got the Silver' (Keith Richards' first lead vocal) and Robert Johnson's 'Love in Vain,' by contrast, were as close to the roots of acoustic down-home blues as the Stones ever got." — All Music Guide

AFTERMATH - 1966 was a momentous year for albums. Aftermath was right up there with Pet Sounds, Revolver and Blonde On Blonde. The album represented a milestone for the Stones as it was the first to consist solely of Jagger/Richards original songs. It also featured the immaculate guitar work of Brian Jones and the remarkably-wry, observant “Mother’s Little Helper,” with extremely blatant and, for the time, controversial drug references.

SOME GIRLS, includes the hits “Beast of Burden” and “Shattered” and one of the biggest selling singles of The Rolling Stones career -- the disco crossover -- Miss You. The title track caused its share of controversy when its lyrics were attacked as sexist and racist. Possibly fearing the aging dinosaur label the hunk climate of 1978 New York City SOME GIRLS rocked harder and more consistently than most Stones Albums of the seventies. Revitalized by the chummy guitar dynamic between Keith Richards’ impressionist riffs and Ronnie Woods’ perfectionist lead work, the Album’s merit is in the diversity of its tracks. Starting with the disco elixir of Miss You, SOME GIRLS marked new territory for the band. As Ronnies second Album as an official member, the Album showed that The Stones sound had reworked itself proving there was more to their dynamic than just White Boy Blues.

The range of Ronnie’s guitar work spans from the searing country lead in Far Away Eyes to the near rockabilly twang in Shattered and finds The Stones tighter and more excited than on their previous albums. From placing their stamp on The Temptations Just My Imagination to the big city neurosis of When The Whip Comes Down and Shattered. 1978 SOME GIRLS is a wild rumpus throughout. The New Musical Express gave this LP an excellent rating.

Justly considered one of the finest works by Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Bill Wyman and Ronnie Wood, Some Girls topped the US charts over three decades ago and remains the best selling album of their storied career.

Some Girls is the Rolling Stones' most direct and diverse collection of material from Mick Jagger's irresistible falsetto on the four-on-the-floor filler Miss You, their eighth US number one, to the country-flavored Far Away Eyes via the Chuck Berry meets punk snarl of Respectable. And let's not forget the sensuous, Beast of Burden, one of Keith Richards' finest tunes, which reached number 8 on the US singles chart, the garage rock Shattered, the albums' third US Top 40 entry, and the soulful swagger of the group's version of The Temptations' "Just My Imagination", another timeless offering in their canon of classic Stones Motown covers.

Following the critical praise and commercial success afforded the re-mastered, expanded editions of Exile On Main Street, which matched the chart performance of the epochal 1972 album, and returned the Rolling Stones to their rightful place at the top of the British charts in 2010, the extensive reissue of Some Girls constitutes the next step in the band's ongoing relationship with Universal Music Group.

Some Girls holds a special place in the history of the Rolling Stones and demonstrates why they remain one of the most thrilling and influential bands of all time. The 1978 album features a Keith Richards' classic "Before They Make Me Run", a signature song he still performs defiantly to this day. Some Girls documented Mick Jagger's love of 1970's funk reflected in Miss You, the dance track that wrong footed many people, made the club and black charts, and made it okay for other mainstream acts at the time to 'go disco'.

The 1978 album courted controversy because of Jagger's tongue-in-cheek lyrics on the title track, on Miss You and on Respectable, perceived as a retort to the punk and new wave groups who had borrowed so much attitude and copped so many anti-establishment moves from the Rolling Stones. Ironically, the furor around the elaborate Some Girls package, designed by Peter Corriston and featuring the band members in drag - a nod in the direction of the picture on the 1966 single Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing in the Shadow? - and likenesses of Lucille Ball, Farrah Fawcett, Raquel Welch, Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe that hadn't been legally cleared, necessitating a swift withdrawal and rethink.

Some Girls demonstrated the distinctive and definitive riffing from Keith Richards, with its abundance of unstoppable licks and majestic power chords driving the band into its brand new musical direction. This album not only defined him and his playing, but also defined a new era for the Rolling Stones, with Richards since described as a 'sense of renewal'. Some Girls marks the only other time since recording Satisfaction where Richards used an effects pedal to 'elevate' the sound.

The album cemented the position of guitarist Ronnie Wood, who had joined in 1975, and added his trademark slide and pedal steel playing to several of the album's most memorable tracks, including "When the Whip Comes Down" and "Shattered". He also co-wrote the Shattered B-side "Everything Is Turning To Gold". Some Girls also marked a move to the Pathe Marconi Studios in Paris for the Glimmer Twins production team of Jagger and Richards. These factors helped what is arguably the group's most focused and dynamic album, driven by the sans pareil rhythm section of drummer Charlie Watts and bassist Bill Wyman. Some Girls featured fewer guest musicians than any Rolling Stones album since 1971, but the contributions keyboard-player Ian McLagan, Wood's bandmate in The Faces, saxophone-player Mel Collins, and harmonica player Sugar Blue - discovered busking on the Paris metro - made Miss You in particular sound brighter than ever.

Thirty-three years on from its original release, the re-mastered vinyl edition of Some Girls show why the 1978 album has often been hailed as the equal of Exile On Main Street. Some Girls is both a time capsule and a timeless listen. It features the band at their tightest and toughest, at their most vibrant and vital. It's an all-killer, no filler, must-have album. It still packs a punch!

"The Stones were in Toronto, rehearsing for their classic gigs at the El Mocambo Club, when Jagger, jamming with R&B legend Billy Preston, came up with "Miss You." With a disco groove and a touch of the blues via a harmonica player they found in a Paris subway, it became the band's first Number One hit in five years. "It's not really about a girl," Jagger said. "The feeling of longing is what the song is." - Rolling Stone

"By 1978, the Stones were in turmoil, after trouble with drugs, women and the law. On 'Beast of Burden,' they faced up to their struggles with world-weary defiance. On other takes, Jagger tried the song in falsetto, but his straight-ahead version went to the Top 10."

The TREMENDOUSLY RARE Rolling Stones Sticky Fingers OUT OF PRINT 180 GRAM DELUXE EDITION 2LP SET WITH 4 LIVE TRACKS FROM 1971

Deluxe Edition Heavyweight Black 180g Vinyl Double LP!
Housed in Outer Sleeve with Real Zipper! Features Previously Unreleased Material!

Rolling Stone 500 Greatest Albums of All Time - Rated 64/500!

'Sticky Fingers,' one of the most revered albums in the storied catalog of the legendary Rolling Stones, is set to enthrall a new generation of admirers. The 1971 classic - which captured the band at the absolute peak of their powers, on timeless tracks such as 'Brown Sugar,' 'Wild Horses,' 'Bitch,' 'Sister Morphine' and 'Dead Flowers' - is now reissued by Universal Music.

'Sticky Fingers' was recorded in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Stargroves, Mick's country home and Olympic Studios in London and produced by regular confidant Jimmy Miller. 'Sticky Fingers' was released shortly after the Stones became exiled in the south of France, leaving Britain after a sensational farewell tour. It also featured some of the most ground breaking artwork in rock history by Andy Warhol with its famous working zip on the front cover.

'Sticky Fingers' has been repeatedly hailed as one of the Stones' all-time great albums, capturing their trademark combination of swagger and tenderness in a superb collection. It continued the incredible outpouring of creative energy that had produced 1968's 'Beggars Banquet' and 'Let It Bleed' in 1969. After 'Sticky Fingers,' the Stones' relocation to the south of France led to the double album masterpiece 'Exile On Main St.' The highly acclaimed 'Sticky Fingers' showcased the ever more inventive song writing of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards and formidable guitar licks from Mick Taylor.

The first sessions that led to 'Sticky Fingers' took place as far back as December 1969, in the remote location of Muscle Shoals Sound Studios, Alabama. The band then reconvened, back home in the UK both at Olympic and with the Rolling Stones Mobile parked up at Mick Jagger's Stargroves home. On April 23, 1971, 504 days after that first session in Alabama, 'Sticky Fingers' was released, cheered on by media and public alike. "It is the latest beautiful chapter in the continuing story of the greatest rock group in the world," wrote Rolling Stone.

As the album hit the shops that spring, 'Brown Sugar' hit the charts, and by early May, 'Sticky Fingers' had become the band's sixth UK #1 LP. Its four-week reign was matched by its performance in the US, and it also raced to the top in Australia, Canada and through much of Europe. As the aura grew around this essential part of the Stones' epic story, the album was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame and became one of their four titles in the top 100 of Rolling Stone's critics' poll of the 500 greatest albums of all time. The welcome reappearance of 'Sticky Fingers' will not only restate the pre-eminence of this album landmark, but add even greater distinction to perhaps the greatest catalogue in rock music.

"With its offhand mixture of decadence, roots music, and outright malevolence, Sticky Fingers set the tone for the rest of the decade for the Stones." -Stephen Thomas Erlewine, allmusic

QUALITY RECORDS COLORED VINYL RLEASES

GET YER YA YA'S OUT -  180 GRAM LP COLORED VINYL RELEASE - Often acclaimed as one of the top live rock albums of all time. An exceptional musical document of two November nights at Madison Square Garden in 1969 — the raw energy of “Sympathy For The Devil,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash” and “Honky Tonk Women” confirms their reputation as the greatest live attraction of the time, probably ALL time.

Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out! The Rolling Stones In Concert holds the distinction of being the first live album by any artist to have reached #1 on the UK charts. Recorded at New York City's Madison Square Garden on November 27 and 28, 1969, Ya-Ya's is widely considered the Stones' finest live album. It was the band's first release to feature guitarist Mick Taylor, who had joined several months previous, replacing Brian Jones just before his untimely passing. Ya-Ya's includes hits such as "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "Street Fighting Man," and "Sympathy for the Devil" but is most notable for a 9+ minute version of "Midnight Rambler" with extended harmonica solos, thought by many to be on par with the original studio version.

The Rolling Stones Blue & Lonesome 180 GRAM LIMITED EDITION 2 LP SET

2018 Grammy Award Winner!
• Best Traditional Blues Album: Blue & Lonesome

First Studio Album in over 10 Years Released on 180g Double LP!

The Rolling Stones release ‘Blue & Lonesome’, their first studio album in over a decade. Recorded in just three days in London, England, ‘Blue & Lonesome’ takes the band back to their roots and the passion for blues music which has always been at the heart and soul of The Rolling Stones.

The album was recorded over the course of just three days in December of 2015 at British Grove Studios in West London, just a stone’s throw from Richmond and Eel Pie Island where the Stones started out as a young blues band playing pubs and clubs.

Their approach to the album was that it should be spontaneous and played live in the studio without overdubs. The band - Mick Jagger (vocals & harp), Keith Richards (guitar), Charlie Watts (drums), and Ronnie Wood (guitar) were joined by their long time touring sidemen Darryl Jones (bass), Chuck Leavell (keyboards) and Matt Clifford (keyboards) and, for two of the twelve tracks, by old friend Eric Clapton, who happened to be in the next studio making his own album.

‘Blue & Lonesome’ sees the Rolling Stones tipping their hats to their early days as a blues band when they played the music of Jimmy Reed, Willie Dixon, Eddie Taylor, Little Walter and Howlin’ Wolf - artists whose songs are featured on this album.

“This album is manifest testament to the purity of their love for making music, and the blues is, for the Stones, the fountainhead of everything they do.” - Don Was, Co-Producer of ‘Blue & Lonesome’

"On 'Blue & Lonesome' Jagger delivers one memorable harmonica solo after another, but when he plays, it's the chemistry of the netire band that's most impressive. Listen to him goad on the rest of the group during the introduction to Little Walter's 'I Gotta Go,' and then listen to them fire back - now that's what's been missing from recent Stones albums... [T]he Rolling Stones found their way back home, and once again their blues creds are of the highest order." - Jeff Wilson, The Absolute Sound, Rated 4.5/5 Music, 3.5/5 Sonics
