You are buying an A4 modern print of the original pattern, not the finished item.

This is a lovely vintage pattern from the 1950s for three styles of shawl for baby. One shawl is crocheted and the other two knitted. All shawls are in Baby Wool, which I believe was a 3-ply wool, so work a tension square and change needles if necessary or try a modern 4-ply to get the correct tension.

The shawl at top left is the crochet shawl which will measure approximately 44 inches when finished; the shawl to the right of the picture is in lattice stitch and the shawl bottom left is in fern stitch and both these shawls when finished will measure approximately 54 inches when completed. A lovely pattern which will give you free rein to complete a shawl for baby in your favourite stitch!
