Porsche 986 987 Boxster Cayman 996 & 997 wheel mounting guide tool

Suitable for all Porsche 986, 987, Boxster, Cayman, 996, 997 vehicles built since 1997, this wheel mounting rod makes fitting wheels or changing a tyre following a roadside puncture a one person job!

When removing your wheels, all you need to do is screw this tool into one of the wheel bolt holes (ideally the bolt hole closest to the 12 o'clock position). Then, loosen and remove all the other wheel bolts. This tool secures your wheel in place, preventing it from dropping and getting damaged. When you are ready to lift the wheel off the vehicle, you simply take the weight of the wheel and then slide the wheel off the end of the tool/rod.
Refitting the wheel is the reverse of the above, remembering to remove the tool and refit the final wheel bolt before you finish.

All wheel bolts should be tightened to their correct torque values before the vehicle is driven again.

This tool is made of an aluminium alloy to prevent and minmise any damage to your exisiting Porsche wheels. It normally forms part of your Porsche factory fitted vehicle tool kit but is often missing. If your tool is missing, this one is the perfect replacement and is made to exactly the same Porsche specifications and standards.
