Product Description:
This offering is for one set of new-old-stock Shimano Sante index (or SIS) capable shifters (Model SL-5000 in the clamp-on model). These shifters incorporate Shimano's second generation index shifting technology (introduced in 1989), which appears to improve upon Shimano's earlier design by adding the 7-speed index shifting option. This latter accessory is more cosmetic in nature, as they clean-up the overall lever appearance, but we thought the accessory was still worth mentioning (as we do not always find them to be included with these sets).
