A GORGEOUS AND VERY RARE CIRCA 1968 17 JEWEL LANDERON 149 ROTARY AQUAPLUNGE CHRONOGRAPH DIVERS WATCH. IN GREAT WORKING ORDER.

CASE:
The case is made from stainless steel and chromed metal and has a screw back. The case back is marked with wording about it being waterproof and antimagnetic etc. The caseback has some light marks from previous opening. The case front shows normal wear micro scratches. The chrono bezel is silver in color and has black and red indicators. The black and red has faded in places but still looks good. The case measures 3.8 cms or 38mm in diameter excluding the crown.
DIAL:
The dial is in excellent condition. It is black with white subsidiary dials and has a great Military feel to it. The dial has Arabic numerals for the half hour numerals and baton indices for the rest. The outer tachymeter marks are in good condition. The numerals/batons are painted with luminous paint which has slightly yellowed. The hands are in good original condition. They are filled on the inserts with luminous paint which shows no yellowing and 2 sections of lume missing. The dial is beautifully signed with the words 'ROTARY ' to the top, and 'AQUAPLUNGE' to the bottom of the dial. It is also signed 'T Swiss Made T'. The plastic crystal is nearly new and shows just a couple of very light marks. This is an absolutely beautiful looker!!
MOVEMENT:
This beautiful and rare watch is powered by a near minty 17 jewel Landeron Calibre 149 chronograph powerhouse. The movement is very clean. This fantastic movement has been FULLY SERVICED by my watchmaker and is keeping excellent time as tested over a 24 hour period The beefy crown and pushers are original and unsigned showing only a little wear.
BAND:
This is a nearly new black leather band. I have just had it fitted. As such it is in excellent unworn condition. The watch and band measure just over 8 inches in total length.
