The Emperor Collection is Namiki’s
highest ranking series.
Unlike the Maki-E technique, the Chinkin technique involves carving and not coating, so once the work begins it can not be corrected even if an error is made. Chinkin (gold inlay) is a technique in which a surface is coated with a roiro lacquer with a special carving chisel. Precious metal leaf and powder are then inlayed in the cut patterns.
The Peony flower is a traditional motif in Japanese fine art, symbolic of wealth, beauty and prosperity.
The pen is fitted with a 18K two-toned gold #50 Medium (M) nib imprinted with Mt. Fuji.
Includes original wooden box, gold dust outer box (signs of use),
booklet (Namiki use and care guide), Chinkin booklet, Namiki inkwell black (sealed), pipette and artisan autographed paper (Yasuji Sumi).
This pen employs an eyedropper filling system.

Namiki pare d'un décor floral la collection Empereur, utilisant la
technique du "Chinkin", reprenant très en détail, le dessin d'une
Pivoine. Cette méthode consiste à enduire le stylo de laque, puis de
graver à l'aide d'un petit burin de découpage et d'une feuille de métal
précieux. Une poudre est ensuite incrustée dans la gravure, ce qui
permet d'obtenir une finition légère et délicate alliée à une force de
relief très expressive. Modèle sans clip aux embouts plats.
Plume en or 18 carats n°50, système de remplissage au compte-gouttes. Grande contenance d'encre dans le réservoir.
Système de "stopper" permettant de bloquer le passage de l'encre, facilitant les déplacements en avion.
