most rare cloth patch of the  RAF ALDERGROVE   Escaping Society  


locally made  square  cloth patch measuring 9.2cm x 9.2cm 

with detail   of a red hand  holding pick  at  barbed  wire fence 
  within " RAF ALDERGROVE ESCAPING SOCIETY " 

with some minor staining       overall in good used condition 

the  " secret "  escape society was formed by just a few servicemen at RAF ALDERGROVE 
after  a  total  lock down and banning of all social  activities and  movements   other than  military operations 
due to the increase of IRA attacks  in Northern Ireland 
this patch was  acquired by a member of the royal military police in 1982 
by then the group had already disbanded
