This is a very unusual tile.  Normal Iznick Qajar tiles are rare.  This tile has the molded form of a Persian rider, but the rider is not painted.  Instead, the tile was over-painted in a floral motif!  Is this just a production mistake or is there some reason why it was rendered in this manner.  Honestly we don't know.  We did our due diligence but couldn't find another example of this happening.   Normal Iznick 18th or 19th tiles of hunting or riding scenes are priced from $200-$795.   The tile measures a little less than 7” in both directions.

In the third photo of the group, we created a dark outline of the underlying shape that was originally made as part of the tile.  This dark line was added to just the photo, only to show the outline of the raised figure in the tile surface, but there is no such marking on the actual tile itself.
