Product Description:
This offering is for a Shimano Dura-Ace 14T UniGlide "twisted tooth" sprocket (splined) without a built-in spacer that is compatible with a 6, 7, or 8 speed Uniglide cassette. It will also slide onto a HyperGlide cassette freehub and function adequately in a HyperGlide index shifting environment. Although, the improved shifting performance brought about by the shift ramp technology of the HyperGlide sprockets is lost when these UniGlide sprockets are mixed-n-matched on a HyperGlide freehub. As alluded to above, these sprockets are all index (or as Shimano used to call it, "SIS") shifting capable. Another benefit attributed to a UniGlide sprocket (w/o a built-in spacer)...with it's uniform "twisted tooth" design...is that once a sprocket is worn out, it may be reversed or "flipped over" on the freehub and used as if new...giving you twice the useful life on each individual sprocket. All of these Dura-Ace UniGlide sprockets are made from a hardened steel and are new and unused. The silver finish also (still) shows fairly well, but expect some shopwear given these sprockets have been bulk packed (presumably) for several years...before we acquired them.
