Description: THE EVER POPULAR DATABASE IS CONSTANTLY INCREASED AND UPDATED Over the years we have built up a very large and detailed model aircraft decal database, which is being constantly added too and updated. It contains scanned images of individual decal sheets combined with an image of the key page of the colour or black and white placement guide, see image samples within my current listing. The images are in JPG form (image file sizes range from 350KB - 2MB, the average size is 1.5MB) with a complete and detailed description of each decal sheet provided as a WORD document - again see examples of the descriptions within my current listing. 

The descriptions also include details of the camouflage schemes worn by the aircraft, as well as an aircraft summary detailing the serial numbers and codes, the name of the units/squadrons it flew with as well as pilot details and in many cases a short piece of history relating to the aircraft in question. Most of the written aircraft summaries also contain links (or jpg images) of aircraft profiles or images of the actual aircraft that are depicted by the decals - an ideal reference tool for a modeller.

With the older sheets e.g. Microscale, we have been able to update and correct errors on the information given on placement guides through additional research. For examples of what to expect, see a current listing.

This data base now totals over 3,300 + military aircraft model decal sheets, that's 4GB of images and information, across all the key model scale sizes i.e. 1/72, 1/48, 1/32 and an increasing range of civil, and some military aircraft, in 1/144 scale. New aircraft descriptions and images are added to the database regularly.

The decal sheets within the database cover all genres of aircraft from the Fokker D.VII and Sopwith Pup of WWI, the P-51 Mustang, P-47 Thunderbolt, B-17 Flying Fortress, Spitfire, Hurricane, Lancaster, Messerschmitt Bf 109 and Focke Wulf Fw 190 of WWII to post-WWII aircraft that fought in the Korean War, the Cold War as well as modern aircraft flying in today’s air forces, whether they be the F-86 Sabre, the F-4 Phantom II, the F-14 Tomcat, Mirage, MiG, Tornado, Jaguar, Hercules or a F/A-18 Super Hornet. There are hundreds of different aircraft types featured in the database.

Applications: The database can be used in two obvious ways. First, a very quick and easy way to list your own decal sheets for sale in a manner which enhances the listing, given the customer knows exactly what they are getting through clear and informative presentation, encouraging bids from multiple bidders and therein higher prices paid. Second, provides the modeller with a superb reference and research tool given the links to images of the aircraft that are available within the detailed written descriptions, again see the current live listing for examples.

The database is now supplied on a useful 8GB USB memory stick, as its grown over the last year or so and will no longer fit on a 1GB USB, with the Word document descriptions of each decal sheet carrying the same reference as the jpg of the placement guide and decal sheet image for ease of reference, with over 135+ folders for each decal manufacturer.

NOTE if you are bidding on decal sheets as well, I will send a final invoice for decals won out to 10 days from the first sheet won. Any new bids from 11 days after the first sheet won will be counted as a new invoice. Please honour my selling terms, it will make things go a lot smoother for all concerned, as this is a hobby for me not a business!

UK buyers - electronic payment through on-line banking (e-mail for details on winning the item) preferred, cheque (allow 7 days for clearance) or PAYPAL. Overseas buyers - please pay by PAYPAL ONLY .

POSTAGE

UK - GBP1.59.  Europe, including France, Germany and Eastern Europe - GBP3.49. The USA and the Rest of the World - GBP4.99. The USB stick is shipped in a padded envelope. We can also provide combined shipping with decal sheets at 40p each for the UK, 45p per sheet for Europe and 55p per sheet for the Rest of the World including the United States and Australia.

Please allow 5-10 days for delivery of the item once it has been paid for. We obtain proof of postage for all items shipped and cannot be held accountable for non-receipt once posted. Additional postal insurance can be arranged, again please contact me for the cost.
