A 6 1/4" tall oval/cylinder-shaped clear-glass antique LIQUID TOOTH PASTE (dentifrice) bottleThis bottle is exceptional in the fact that it has an embossed picture of a ... SET of TEETH, a wide open jaw showing ALL 32 TEETH!  The paper LABEL on this bottle is ORIGINAL and, like the bottle, has the picture of a set of TEETH on it.  This is a super old DENTAL bottle, as the base of the bottle has an 1878 patent date.  The bottle originally came with an antiseptic SURE CURE MOUTH WASH DENTIFRICE according to the label, and it CURED ALL problems with the MOUTH TEETH GUMS BREATH THROAT TOOTH.   This is an ORIGINAL ANTIQUE hand Blown Into Mold bottle (BIM) with a tooled top, dating back to the 188O's, well over a century old, a good 125 + years old.

Now this is a FULLY EMBOSSED bottle, probably the ultimate antique TOOTH WASH bottle in itself but with the label on it as a bonus.  Few bottles this old have have survived the elements of time with the original paper label still intact and, in this case, entirely legible making it QUITE POSSIBLY a unique, one-of-a-kind bottle.  These old dental bottles contained nothing more than a liquid antiseptic tooth rinse, yet like this one, they claimed that they had medicinal properties that, if used regularly, could cure any type of past or present disease of the mouth, gums, teeth, throat, tighten loose teeth, things that they still can't cure today. This bottle is clearly embossed SURE CURE  MOUTH WASH, and with the embossed picture of 32 teeth, it falls into the category of 'picture' bottles, a category of collecting in itself.   In the left section of the label it repeats the term "SURE CURE" over and over again, in a good dozen places, and even claims that it is a "Sure Cure for Sleeplessness >caused by diseased gums", which really exaggerates what all the dentifrice would cure.  On the right part of the label it gives specific directions about brushing the teeth with it and even goes on to claim that this dentifrice "TIGHTENS LOOSE TEETH", can you believe that?   So again, it really exaggerates what all the dentifrice will do.  Many collectors of antique dental bottles are dentists themselves, building small collections of quality antique dental bottles to display in their waiting rooms and offices. This is probably the ultimate example of just this sort of thing as it sums it all up in the small print on the label, "A Sure Cure for ALL diseases of the Teeth, Gums, and Mouth .. Cures diseased Gums and TIGHTENS loose teeth ... "the ultimate antique 'tooth powder / wash / dentifrice' bottle, check it out!
