- Jewelry Box Celluloid Medieval Halberd & Longsword Decorative Our Fraternal (O)
- The lid is made of yellow/cream colored celluloid, featuring illustrations of a longsword with a green cross-section and a medieval halberd with a brown pole - Two hairpins hang on the blade of the sword, and two hairpins hang on the pole of the halberd - A large hairpin with a floral flower-shaped top stands over the crossed pole and blade - A pink banner says "Our Friends In Need"
- Although it does not specifically identify an organization, I believe this box is fraternal - Fraternity
- 4 decorative embossed metal pieces with floral shapes and scrolls appear on the 4 corners of the lid
- The sides of the box are embossed white celluloid that have be applied the the wooden structural base of the box underneath - These pieces are almost paper-thin, and feature geometric designs and floral shapes - The underside of the box is covered in white paper
- There are 4 decorative embossed metal feet on the bottom, and a decorative embossed metal button latch on the front - Both feature floral shapes and scrolls
- 2 metal hinges on the back of the box. Inside of the lid is lined with light blue satin
- The inside of the base has 5 differently shaped compartments, lined with green velveteen
- Unknown maker - I can find no name or maker's mark on the box
- 8" Long x 4 7/8" Wide x 2 1/4" Tall
- Used. Some light scratches, scuffs and very tiny discoloration spots on the celluloid
- There appears to be some browning/fading on the celluloid lid from age, although this could be the original color and I could be mistaken
- There is a small 3/8" tear in the white celluloid on the side of the box below the latch
- The metal latch is slightly bent from use - However, the piece is thin and malleable, and can easily be reshaped, but I will leave this to the buyer to do
- The front left foot and the back right foot of the box both move when touched - This does not affect the box when standing still, but the buyer should know that these feet are slightly loose
- A small nail on the back left foot of the box is no longer flush with the side of the box, and I cannot push it back in because it is giving resistance
- Some tiny holes and tiny discoloration spots on the inside of the satin lid
- Some light chipping, small margin tears and tiny discoloration spots to the paper covering on the underside of the box
- Overall good condition
