Antique Turkey Redwork Embroidery Table or Sideboard Cloth in German. Based on the translation I see this as more of a home cloth that a church cloth, however, I am not an expert. I believe this is Linen Fabric. Is the front bottom needlecraft detail Hardanger? Decorated with Flowers and Vine Swirls.

A rough translation from speaking with a German citizen, who said this was an old German limerick is:

Working at the oven [which I take to mean cooking and baking] shows the housewife's love and value.

Measures approximately 45 1/2” X 22 3/4”.

Very good condition. Handiwork is lovely. There are imperfections in the fabric. Relatively Clean --- I did not launder this cloth. No holes. No Tears. There are several small drop stains – see photos – looks like wine. There is also what may be a faint soiled mark – see photos. No odors.
