This is one of the nicest and most complete sets of vintage original JBL Century L100s that you are likely to find. Only enough tiny and light marks/edge chips to tell you that these have their ORIGINAL FINISH and have not been refinished or repaired. Look closely at all pictures of the cabinet surfaces and the drivers. I replaced the foam tweeter dampening pads about 5 years ago. Truly a great investment; sold new in 1974 for about $750. This pair probably would have fetched about $800-900 5-10 years ago. I have seen pairs pretty comparable to these selling recently for $1500-2000. There aren't many consumer items that I know of that go UP in value as you use them.

Speakers are in their original boxes with styrofoam end caps and cardboard frontpiece.

Matching serial numbers 131024A and 131032A, which also match the numbers on the boxes.

Includes metal JBL grille badges, owners manuals, foam hang tags, warranty card, envelope, etc.

Original wood grille frames have their original box and shipping partitions as well. The grilles do not have the original foam fronts, which disintegrated about 25 years ago. Replacements are being sold here on eBay. (However, I can recommend getting a piece of stiff commercial porous A/C foam, cut to the size of the grille, and spraying it the color of your choice. Sonically perfect, excellent in appearance, and about $200 less expensive. You can also do what JBL did when selling replacement fronts: get some 3/4 x 3/4 pine, cut to dimensions of the frame, miter the corners to 45 degrees, cover with speaker fabric, and insert into the frame.)

These speakers sound EXACTLY as I would expect them to sound. (I have owned MANY pairs of L100's over the years, beginning back in 1974.) The crossovers are likely to have some scratchiness or dead spots at some point in the turning radius; they all do, unless they have been removed and cleaned, and it usually clears up with frequent and rapid turning.  Unfortunately, because of the risk of encountering a buyer who is not above making a "not as described" claim in order to pursue an adjustment in the price after the fact, these will carry my standard disclaimer: "These are USED speakers, uninspected by an audio professional, and may require replacement of non-functioning parts or repair at any time. They are sold for parts/repair only, without warranty." (Although MY original pair of JBL L100's, which I bought from Warehouse Sound in San Luis Obispo in 1974, have NEVER required any attention or repair. No guarantee that will be YOUR experience, but I'm just commenting on MY experience). For peace of mind you are welcome to have an audio tech (or frankly anyone) inspect these to any extent you desire, and provide an assessment, at YOUR expense. I will do my utmost to make them available for inspection.

If you are looking for a TOP pair of L100's, complete in original boxes, in beautiful condition and with all paperwork, you're unlikely to find nicer ones.

These will ship in 3 boxes. Within 1000 miles of North Georgia, shipping will be $149. Up to 2000 miles, shipping will be $179. Beyond 2000 miles the cost is $199. Shipping in USA but outside continental US quoted separately. Therefore, the shipping amount in the listing will state $149, but we both understand that this number applies on to shipments within 1000 miles.

If you are international, you MUST contact me before bidding or buying. This listing is created to allow bids from USA and Canada ONLY. Based upon your contact I may allow your bid or purchase from other international locations. Do your own investigation, and make sure that the weight and dimensions can be shipped to your country. You should do your own rough shipping calculations. There will be two boxes, each 60 lbs, length + girth 108 inches. A third box will be 15 lbs, length + girth 50 inches.  Bid ONLY if you are willing to pay what may be VERY HIGH international shipping costs.

If you are in USA and are interested in local pickup or face-to-face transfer, arrangements can be made sometime in October/November, and at a number of points off I-75 between North Georgia and South Florida. However, I have had bad experiences with this in the past, so I need to put some parameters around it. First, there will be a non-refundable $50 handling charge for pickup or face-to-face handoff. This will be done through Paypal "friends and family" ONLY, at time of auction end. Second, the transaction less shipping cost must be PAID IN CASH at time of pickup or transfer. YOU MUST DISCUSS THIS WITH ME BEFORE THE END OF THE AUCTION. DO NOT MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT WHERE THESE CAN BE TRANSFERRED. LET'S DISCUSS IT FIRST.

International shipping rate estimated. it will be quite a bit less for Canada/Mexico, could be more overseas.
