This toy is part of the CVS Limited Edition to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the song "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer". CVS ran an exclusive program in 1998 offering limited edition character collectibles in the 6 weeks leading up to Christmas. Two 6" plush toys were introduced each week. They sold out immediately and are very highly collectible. This program became so popular that they continued it into 1999.
