I try to show several angles and any damage on all items.  My home is smoke/ pet free but most of my items are purchased from auctions, estate sales, thrift stores, etc. so I do not know the origin of the items as far as pets or smoke. I do a quick cleaning of any noticeably dirty items and will note in the description if I detect any smell.
