Installation
When using with undertile underfloor heating mats the boards must be bonded to a clean, dry surface using a water based Flexible Rapid Set tile adhesive. Do not use solvent based or ready mixed adhesive products. Tiling must be carried out using a water based Flexible Rapid Set tile adhesive. We do NOT recommend this type of board be used with wooden subfloors. For wood subfloors please use out Tile backer Boards.
When installing underwood underfloor heating systems, the boards are laid out in a brick bond (staggered) style and the joints are taped together with duct tape, the heating mat is then rolled out over the XPS Premium Insulation Board, this is now ready to install your laminate/engineered wood floor directly on top.
Technical Details
Although you can lay your underfloor heating directly onto concrete and some wooden subfloors (please contact us for advice!), we do not recommend it and any underfloor heating system will benefit from good quality insulation underneath.
If you install your system with our XPS Premium or Tile Backer Boards then it will reduce your energy bills and your heating will warm up much faster.. The XPS Premium boards are a great low cost insulation board for your underfloor heating - however they are only suitable for concrete subfloors (due to their light weight) The Tile Backer Boards are slightly more expensive but offer a greater insulation value and toughness and they can be used on both wood and concrete subfloors. These boards are available in 6mm and 10mm.
The Thicker the insulation the faster the floor will heat up.

How Much does it cost?
As standard we offer FREE NEXT WORKING DAY DELIVERY to all UK mainland addresses (excluding Channel Islands & Eire ) on all heating products. (This does not include tiling materials, Lustrolite wall panels, wet room screens & heat pumps). Delivery outside of mainland UK may be arranged by prior agreement. You will be notified of the carriage amount and will at that point be able to make a decision as to whether you wish to proceed with your order or claim a refund.

Orders placed before 2pm on any business day (Monday - Friday) excluding Bank Holidays should be delivered on the next business day (Excluding Saturday, unless the carriage is met) anytime up to 7.00pm. Our standard next working day delivery does not guarantee next day delivery; however every effort is made by us and the courier to achieve this goal. Orders taken on Friday after 2pm, Saturday or Sunday will be dispatched on Monday (excluding Bank Holidays) for delivery on Tuesday up to 7.00pm. Orders placed on Friday before 2pm will be dispatched on Friday for delivery on Monday up to 7.00pm unless the Saturday delivery charge is met. (This excludes Bank Holidays).
