A very unusual collectible in the form of three lined pages which have 25 signatures many of which belong to top Tennis stars. These pages were among various documents and letters etc relating to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships and collected by someone who it seems worked for Wimbledon arranging the players Courtesy transport etc, they would date from the early to mid 1970's..

I have managed I think to identify 8 of the signatures which belong to well known players as follows:

Karen Krantzcke, Australian player who sadly died in 1977.

Ingrid Bentzer of Sweden.

Either Junko or Kazuko Sawamatsu of Japan.

Karl Meiler of Germany.

Jan Kukal of the Czech Republic.

Helen Gourlay of Australia.

Frew McMillan of South Africa.

Jim McManus of the USA.

As best as I can tell I think these pages were some sort of sign in sheet as people arrived or left via the courtesy cars and I imagine they were asked to sign the page as proof that they had used the service.

Some of the titles or names are a bit generic such as ' Russians ' which was probably due to language problems etc, I think some of the signatures may also be from coaches or similar so the pages are worth further investigation by someone with a better Tennis knowledge than me.

The pages are a little tanned from age but are in otherwise generally very good condition.
