This wonderful vintage pattern is for a childs twinset consisting of a 'V'-neck cardigan with pocket and crew neck sweater with the childhood favourites Tiger Tim, Jumbo and Porky Boy character motifs on both items. The pattern covers two sizes; that is, 3-5 years of age (23-24 inch chest) and 5-7 years (24½-26 inch chest), and was originally knitted in 3-ply wool. However, you may wish to try modern 4-ply wool as vintage yarns were heavier than todays modern, but do work a tension square first to see if a change in needles is required to obtain the tension as stipulated in the pattern. Three unnumbered charts are included with the pattern. A super little twinset in every way. Further information regards this jumper is set out below and taken DIRECTLY from the ORIGINAL pattern.

Chest- 23-24 inches
Jumper- Length from shoulder- 14 inches ; sleeve seam 3½ inches
Cardigan- Length from shoulder- 14½ inches ; sleeve seam: 12 inches

Medium sized crochet hook
Small spool of black twist (black twisted thread used for top stitching)

Over the stocking stitch, 17 sts. to 2 inches and 11 rows to 1 inch
