Up for auction is collectible paperweight made by the talented glass artists at Glass Eye Studio in Seattle, Washington. The paperweight is titled "Island Paradise" (GES12), part of the studio's Environmental Series. It was retired from production in 2014 and is no longer available from the studio.

For more than 30 years, Glass Eye Studio has designed and created exquisite handmade glass paperweights, innovative ornaments, functional bowls, and vases. Their artists use a wide array of special colored glass rods and materials, including ashes from the 1980 eruption of Mount St. Helens. Many of Glass Eye Studio's designs require days of preparation before a single piece is even made. Each handmade paperweight is a one-of-a-kind work of blown glass art. No two paperweights are exactly the same.
 
This paperweight measures approximately 3" in diameter. The bright green island glows in the dark. The underside of the base is marked "Island Paradise" and "GES12". The paperweight comes with its original cloth covered box and information card.

Condition of this Glass Eye Studio paperweight is EXCELLENT with no chips or cracks. The glass has a few bubbles, which is normal for these handmade works of art. The edge of the base has a very tiny spot of rim roughness. The original box shows some light wear but is in great shape. Overall, this hard-to-find paperweight looks fantastic and would make a fine addition to any collection. Please take a close look at the many photos I've provided and judge condition for yourself.
