A 5.25" heavy (410gms/ 14.5oz) cold painted bronze model of a scout (missing his walking pole/staff).
PLEASE READ:- At first I thought this super item was base metal because of a visible silver colour, but it is extremely heavy (and cold) for its size and on close inspection with a magnifier, I can see that some 'muppet' has actually painted and silvered in places OVER what I believe is probably bronze. and as the paint is quite thick around the face etc, I am presuming it was done since manufacture. If this was the desired effect from manufacturing, then I stand corrected. I have done some very magnified close ups of the areas on his shorts and you can see that the silver colour is actually over the bronze colour with what I believe is bronze showing through where it has flaked off. You can also see the bronze around his knees and his backside and everywhere the paint is wearing off.
The base has also had a file put to it (not by me!) which is showing the brassy effect which I have been told is what bronze would have with the patina filed away - SEE PHOTO)
It measures approximately 5 1/4 inches in height.
Condition is as per photos - painted with worn paint and also missing the staff/pole from his hand.
I cannot see a foundry/factory mark anywhere, but I suppose it may be under the paint somewhere.
