PTC heating elements are the latest and most energy efficient towel rail heating elements on the market today.  Manufactured by Rica, a leading Italian company in the manufacture of heating elements, you can be assured of maximum quality.

The Dual Fuel conversion kit allows you to convert a standard central heating towel warmer to run on either electricity or central heating - especially useful during the summer months and are available in either chrome or white to match your existing rail.

PTC technology - how does it work?

Unlike traditional heating elements that use a resistance wire, PTC heating elements are made as ceramic stones.  These ceramic stones are manufactured to heat up a defined temperature and then maintain that temperature by reducing the power.

Initially the element will use 300 watts of power until the rail reaches its' designed operating temperature of 65°C after which it will reduce the electrical current whilst maintaining the rail temperature.

As a result, a separate thermostatic control unit is not required, and the heating element uses significantly less electricity than a conventional heating element.

200 watt element Suitable for 300mm and 400mm wide x 800mm high towel rails up to 9 cross bars

300 watt element Suitable for 300mm and 400mm wide x 1000mm to 1200mm high and 500mm and 600mm wide x 800mm to 1500mm high towel rails

600 watt element Suitable for 500mm and 600mm wide x 1600mm to 1800mm high towel rails

Deliveries will be sent using a trackable parcel carrier where possible. The stated postage or delivery charge covers Mainland UK except the post codes AB, IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE, BT, Northern Ireland. For deliveries to these post codes, the Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Scottish Islands please contact us for a delivery quote. On rare occasions whereby an attempted delivery fails and the courier returns the items to us, a re-delivery fee of £10 will apply which must be paid before we re-send your order. Please ensure you supply a contact telephone number so the carrier can contact you in the event of any delivery issue or query. Some smaller items may be sent using Royal Mail which will not require a signature. These items can be sent to all standard UK post codes including Northern Ireland. Please contact us if you have any questions. We strongly advise you do not book any installers or engage in preparatory work until full receipt of your goods.
Please note We will only deliver to the address on the order and couriered goods will not be left without a signature. From the time of receipted delivery of the goods, any loss or damage shall be your responsibility.
Payment should be made in full at the time of buying. Items will only be despatched once full payment has cleared into our account. Payment should be made by PayPal and will be covered by the appropriate buyer protection. PayPal payments can be made from your PayPal balance, any UK credit or debit card or UK bank account and are subject to PayPal’s terms and conditions. Any refunds issued will be made only via the same funding method as the initial payment, which includes the same PayPal account.
Damages
Please ensure you check all goods for any damage at the point of receipt and before signing for them. If the product is damaged, do not accept delivery. Any claim of transit damages after the package has been signed for will not be accepted. Goods signed for as “goods not checked” will also not be accepted. If you find the product damaged when the carrier is trying to deliver, inform us immediately and we will arrange a replacement.

Returns
If you’d like to return your order for any reason, please contact us by within 14 days of delivery. The goods must be returned in their original condition with undamaged packaging, be in resaleable condition must not have been fitted. When returning an item for a refund or an exchange all returns are the responsibility of the buyer including the cost of return delivery to our warehouse. Please note that some products must be transported by pallet (including specialist upright pallet); if your order is delivered on a pallet we recommend that you retain it along with any packaging until you are completely satisfied – we can provide replacement pallets for returns at additional cost. We strongly suggest you return the item using a trackable and insured means. We are unable to refund the original delivery charge for items returned to us in this way. If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, we will replace it free of charge.
