This UPS is handy as it has a long runtime for a 2200VA unit, and this runtime can be extended by adding external battery modules (see the anderson connector on the rear of the unit), and they are short depth, so fit into coms cabinets that do not have as deep a profile as data cabinets.

This 2200VA UPS is perfect for alternative energy projects. Though its load rating is just 1400VA, this is an XL UPS which means that large, heavy duty batteries (up to 6500 V/Ah capacity) can be added to the supply via the rear mounted socket. The UPS is also rated for 100% duty cycle (unlike none XL UPS). This means that the UPS is designed to take the thermal stress of running on battery power for extended periods.

These ship minus the plastic battery flap cover, as for most people looks are not important as the UPS will be out of sight, and the extra money for the flap is better spent on other parts of their supply system. Its a purely cosmetic issue and does not affect performance at all.
These units are lower power density hat the generation 2 UPS, but there are advantages in this. Firstly the ariflow path is better, and the thermal center is more distributed. Secondly the cell pack is much larger, giving a longer run-time. Like an old hoover, these keep on working, whereas newer units with more thermal stress and smaller, faster fans that they depend more on, stop. We like them.
The units are fully tested by UPS experts, and are fully working. They are second user and will have cosmetic signs of previous use. We professionally refurbish including paint touch up or case re-spray as needed. The grading is A-Grade which we class as as good as you can get without having new. Under normal circumstances most orders before 3PM are dispatched on the day of order. Large units / quantities may roll over to being dispatched the next day. Email if you need to be sure of when we can send an order. We try to meet all customer deadlines.
All of our consignments are sent fully insured on a 24 hour service with our carriers. We cover all problems that occur in transit. We can ship to the EU (transit time varies) and have experience packing and shipping to overseas destinations. The EU shipping costs are estimated only, please contact us for confirmation before ordering. Large UPS may be palletised or shipped with the UPS in one box, and the cells in another. We have the packing materials to make sure that there are few problems in transit. Our warehouse is based in the UK. VAT is included in the buy it now price, and if you are VAT registered you will be able to reclaim this. VAT Invoices are sent automatically as a PDF file, via email, as part of our automated dispatch process. |
