Stunning quality oil painting after an earlier Old Master painting - most likely after Claude Lorrain. The painting depicts a busy shipping harbour with various ships, figures and stunning architecture.
The painting is an original oil painting on canvas by the world famous art studio in Paris, the "Atelier Dagher". The Atelier Dagher have for 35 years been faithfully painting Old Masters copies and are one of the few artists in the world to be authorised by the Louvre and Orsay Museums in Paris to paint in situ.
The senior member of the family of painters, are often present in front of their easel in the Louvre Museum to paint in the way of a genuine Great Master painting (on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 9am till 13h30 pm, according to their website ). The Dagher Atelier is located in Boulogne Billancourt (92100), Paris.
An Atelier Dagher commissioned painting can run into many thousands of euros/ pounds or dollars so this is an excellent opportunity to acquire one of their original works - with the only previous owner of this painting being the Atelier Dagher themselves.
Condition report:
The painting is by and large in sound condition though has quite extensive scuffing and scratching to the surface.
