Excellent condition original WWI Imperial German Hussar (heavy cavalry) Pelmutze “busby” hat. Fur covered body shows very little wear and a few small spots of fur loss. The death head skull and banner on the front have nice original finish. The cockades (Prussian on left and national colors on right) have nice original paint. The original Prussian Feldzeichen is present, as are the cords on top. Scale chinstrap has supple leather and is soundly attached with no damage. Leather liner is soft and supple with very little wear and no damage. A beautiful original WWI Imperial German Hussar busby that will make an exceptional addition to a collection.
