SHM-SACD (Super High Material SACD) is the ultimate Super Audio CD that utilizes the materials and technologies that were developed for the SHM-CD to further enhancethe audio-resolution. These discs are made with polycarbonate developed for the screen of the liquid crystal display. As it has a higher transparency, players can read the signal more faithfully. Also, it excels in fluidity, which enables you to cast a more accurate pit. What works wonders for a low resolution format such as CD should offer even greater sonic improvements in a real high resolution format such as SACD. 

It was Alexis Korner the legendary UK white bluesman, who gave the name Free to Mssrs Kossof, Rodgers, Kirke and Fraser when he spotted them at their first gig in Spring 1968. Following Korner introducing them to Island boss Chris Blackwell, Free recorded their first and second albums "Tons Of Sobs" and "Free" to little chart action but much interest from fans and critics alike. Then, in May 1970, one of the defining moments in pop history happened when Free released the glorious "All Right Now". Suddenly all changed! "All Right Now" immediately zoomed to the uppermost reaches of most charts in the world (No.2, UK, No.4 US) and set up the album "Fire And Water" in a similar fashion. Thus Free were well and truly on the way from pubs to stadiums over the next few years, though they never really bettered the standard of songs or musical groove which they mastered on "Fire And Water". 

"If Fleetwood Mac, Humble Pie, and Foghat were never formed, Free would be considered one of the greatest post-Beatles blues-rock bands to date, and this record shows why. Conceptually fresh, with great, roots-oriented, Band-like feel, Free distinguished itself with the public like Black Sabbath and Deep Purple did (in terms of impact, only) in 1970.
