General Description:

Hebron Glass refers to glass produced in Hebron as part of a flourishing art industry established in the city during Roman rule in Palestine. Hebron's Old City still contains a quarter named the "Glass-Blower Quarter" and Hebron glass continues to serve as a tourist attraction for the city.

Traditionally, the glass was melted using local raw materials, including sand from neighboring villages, sodium carbonate (from the Dead Sea), and coloring additives such as iron oxide and copper oxide. Nowadays, recycled glass is often used instead. Glass production in Hebron is a family trade, the secrets of which have been preserved and passed down by a few Palestinian families who operate the glass factories located just outside the city. The products made include glass jewelry, such as beads, bracelets, and rings, as well as stained glass windows, and glass lamps.

Usually, because the items are totally handmade, small differences could be found between the items in terms of color, shape, dimensions and/or symmetry. No piece is 100% exactly the same as the other, even they look like very similar.

At the end of the manufacturing process, the item is attached to the tool from its bottom. You can notice this in one of the photos. This is not a break or crack at all; it’s just the result of de-attaching the item from the stick tool it was connecting to during the process.

Because the light reflection of the monitor, the photos could present a very slight difference in color and shine than that of the real piece.

Each piece is photographed individually and specifically. There are no general photos for each piece type, because each piece has its own pattern design and colors mixture. So, the piece you’ll get is the exact same one you see in the photos.

There is a photo of the piece with a water bottle of 500 ml beside it. This is to give you an idea about the real size of it.

When you wash the piece with water, its colors will appear in a more shiny and beautiful style. Of course, it will get dry soon, but still brilliant as before.

There is an original sticker comes from the factory. I didn’t stick it on the item, instead I’ll send it with the package as it is, and it’s your choice whether to stick it on the item or not.

The item is totally new from the factory with a tag only (and a sticker as explained in the above note). There is no original box from the factory, so I’ll use a different box to packet the item safely and securely.
