ONE OWNER     Amazing USA 75 bass from 2000…..8 pounds   /  one piece ash body  !!!!!  Very rare to find a lightweight sunburst one piece body!!

I bought this Fender Jazz 75 reissue USA bass brand new in January, 2001 while teaching jazz at The College of Charleston.  Being  a dedicated jazz guitar player, I only used this bass on occasion to sub on jazz gigs.  You can tell from the pics it hasn’t been played much.  It is in “vintage excellent” condition.  I would say it is vintage near-mint BUT FOR the chipping of paint on the body at the neck pocket AND minor buckle wear that is not through the paint.  This is cosmetic only and is the only issue the bass has.  It has a super nice straight neck, kind of the “A” profile which is thinner, with close action.  I currently have black tape wound strings on it, which are useless to everyone except for bebop when you want to sound like an upright bass.  I will keep the strings and ship with no strings.

The bass has I believe all the original paperwork and even the store receipt from Jan 2001.  You will not find a nicer cleaner USA Jazz bass.  The 75 reissue pickups are original and to me sound better and smoother than any real 70’s pickups.  It’s just a great looking pro-level instrument.

Weight:  It is pretty light weight, tipping the scales right at 8 pounds.

The thumb rest was adding using a Fender template so it is ‘factory placement’.  I’m real anal about all my gear…this thing is stunning and you won’t find a better one.  The F bridge cover was also added using a Fender template for exact placement.

Even better than the light weight is the SUPER RARE one piece ash body.  The bass sounds incredible.

The case is original and has no carry wear.  It shows minor scratches on the exterior from being moved around but is really really clean… a quality G & G case.

Everything shown is included EXCEPT THE BLACK TAPE WOUND STRINGS.
