Antique 'Gamages' ERNST PLANK 'STANDARD' Children's Toy Slide Lantern with Slides 

As you can see in the pictures - please examine these carefully as they are part of the description.

Early 20th century (?) Ernst Plank tinplate toy slide projector in case with glass slides. As far as I can see the kerosene lantern is missing, as is the front focusing lens. There is an internal reflector, and an internal glass lens. There is some rust to the tin chimney. There are 12 glass slides with the projector and these are in good condition. The box is a little scruffy, and the lid is offset slightly - maybe the hinges have been strained?

There is a tin badge on the door of the lantern indicating that it was sold by A. W. Gamage of Holborn, London - the famous Victorian department store (opened 1878, closed in 1972).  

I don't know much about this item so please examine pictures carefully before bidding.
