GoPro Hero 5/6/7 underwater housing instructions
1. First plug the power and HD connector into the side of the camera.
2. Then before closing the housing all the way, make sure the Wi-Fi cable is placed at the bottom of the camera between the housing.
3. Slowly close the back door while fitting the square lens of the camera into the front lens of the housing.
4. After you have confirmed the connections are in tight and the Wi-Fi cable is placed under the camera use both thumbs to press the back door in evenly and tight.
5. Then close the latch.
This housing has been pressure tested at a 10ft depth. While using the camera inside of the housing, you will never have to remove the camera from the housing to offload video from the SD card. This new design allows the USB cable to transfer all data from the SD card to your computer and then erase everything off the SD card to start fresh. The power required is 5-volt DC, which is the same power source as cell phones and tablets use. This will allow you to run the camera 24 hours a day if you need to. Using a computer USB port will only allow you to offload files from the SD card you will no longer be able to see a live feed or record while the USB cable is plugged into your computer.
We also suggest using a 95lb. Magnet (can be found for 10.00 on eBay with free shipping) If needed on the bottom of the housing attached to the included 1/4"-20 screw & tripod adapter to help submerse the camera & sit level on flat bottoms of lakes or streams etc & still be able to angle the lens up and down on the mount base.
If you will be using a long life 12-volt battery the supplied pigtail will allow you to wire the positive and negative to a 5 volt down converter.
Do not run direct 12-volt power into your camera or it will start to smoke.
If you purchased this unit with a Wi-Fi cable extender, the cable needs to be taped to the bottom of any Wi-Fi remote or to the bottom of your phone if you are using a smart phone or iPad. This will allow you to have full control of the camera while it is under water.
We do also recommend using anti fog strips depending on water temperature.
