HB QUIMPER KAP Korentin Ar Pape Workshop Color Chart Mold Print Set

Set of molds, prints and color charts from the workshop of Korentin Ar Pape (Corentin le Pape, 07/17/1914, 06/26/1915). This artist from Cornouaille, inspirated by Ar Seiz Breur artistic group, he never sale his work but HB manufactory offer to work together in 1960's. This work is displayed in Quimper Museum, Pot l'Abbé Museum. This set is made of 4 faience color charts, prints of asthray, book end, tobacco jar, butter dish and brooch. 3 items are signed KAP. Size of the color charts dish 12 1/2" (32cm) by 7" (17.5cm), size of the print of book end:  7 3/8" (18.5cm) height, 4 3/4" (12cm) width, 5 1/8" (13cm) depth. Perfect condition for the set as shown by the following pictures.

For our  French-speaking friends:Moules, empreintes et nuanciers (échantillonnage couleur) de l'artiste céramiste Corentin Le Pape (Korentin Ar Pape) qui signait KAP, provenant de son fond d'atelier. Cet artiste indépendant breton de Cornouaille, inspiré des Seiz Breur, n'a jamais rien vendu de ses œuvres, la manufacture de faience HB lui a ouvert ses portes vers 1960. Ses oeuvres sont conservées au Musée bigouden de Pont L'Abbé au Musée Breton de Quimper, à l’association des Amis du Musée et de la Faïence de Quimper ainsi que de collections privées. Plâtres de pot à tabac, serre-livre, cendrier, beurrier, bijoux, les Rois Gradlon et Artus (Arthur)... Son ami d'enfance Bastian Le Pemp l'initie à la céramique, puis un autre ami Jos Le Corre de Kéraluc. Korentin Ar Pap est né à Pont-l'Abbé le 17 juillet 1914, il décède le 26 Juin 2015. Dimensions des nuanciers  longueur 32cm, largeur 17.5cm; pour l'empreinte du serre livres : hauteur 18.5cm, largeur 12cm, profondeur 13cm.
