Thaddeus Giddings the lead author of Intermediate Music was a musician who became a pubic school music instructor, supervised music education for several school districts, including 22 years for the Minneapolis public schools. He was also an instructor of public school music at the University of Minnesota, and other universities, and devoted much effort to promoting music education in the public schools.
Intermediate Music was published in 1924 and is part of the Ginn and Company's Music Education Series. This book should be of interest to anyone involved in music education. The book is over 90 years old, so it is not something that will work for every day use. It will, however, make for a great display copy and an important document in the history of music education in the United States.
