A resplendant gilt frame containing two beautiful antique Persian purses.  One is made in antique silk brocade with elaborate metallic trimming.  The second is in a hand embroidered paisley, also with metallic trimming.  These pieces have a beautiful antique patina, especially in their truly antique frame (fin de siècle?).

The condition of the pouches is excellent for their age.  The brocade one has some thread loss at the bottom of the tassel but otherwise appears good and strong.  The paisley piece has some thread loss in the gold trims.  The frame is in moderate condition.  It has a few chips and the mitered corners have separated.
