Description
Rita Riggs, costume design of a woman in a blue gown wearing a pill box hat, signed

board, about 15 by 20 inches, in good condition showing wear from storage and
pinholes along the top and bottom edges.
The drawing comes from the estate of Rita Riggs. I was unable to determine who the costume was
designed for or if it was designed for a movie or TV show.
Rita Riggs (1930-2017) is best
known for designing costumes for movies directed by Alfred Hitchcock: Psycho, The Birds, Marnie and television
shows created and produced by Norman Lear including All In The Family, Good Times, Sanford And Son, The Jeffersons, and Maude.
The Costume Designers Guild presented her with a lifetime achievement
award in 2003.
