First edition of these responsa and halakhic novellae on Shulhan Arukh Orah Hayyim by R. Solomon Zalman ben Jacob Ehrenreich (1863-1944). R. Ehrenreich, rav of Samlau, was murdered during the holocaust. An important figure in Eastern European Jewry, R. Ehrenreich was a signatory to the Chopp resolution (1922). He was also the author of Ti’ul be-Pardes (Simleul Silvaniei, 1942) on Torah, Nevi’im; Kol Yisrael Saba (Jerusalem, 1932) in opposition to Zionism and Aggudat Israel; Ketuvim Avnei ha-Makom (Jerusalem, 1972), novellae and discourses on Aggadah and Tanakh in the manner of Pardes and mamrei Hazal, as well as other works. The title page of Lehem Shelomo describes it as the bread (lehem) that the Lord gave him and in His great kindness and mercy enabled him to wage the war of Torah, to clarify sugyot of Shass and poskim in halakhah and pilpul and what he has proposed before the sages of the generation and responses colleagues and students. There is an introduction and forward, followed by the text in tow columns in rabbinic type. The volume of Lehem Shelomo on Shulhan Arukh Yoreh De’ah was published in 1938.

For multiple purchases, we usually use Priority Mail, a flat rate envelope for $32 ($22 to Canada) can fit 3 Regular sized books and a flat rate box for $70 ($48 to Canada) can fit 8-10 books of average size. A large flat rate box for $93 ($60 to Canada is available as well and can fit up to 18 books, depending on size. Oversized books are more expensive to ship, please ask for shipping quote for multiple books in advance to prevent any misunderstandings. International postage costs are subject to USPS yearly rate increases.


RETURN CUSTOMERS: Return customers get 7% off every order, from the second shipment and on. This is not deducted automatically, so please request an invoice and we'll send one over asap.


REFUNDS: We offer full refunds within 14 days of purchase.
