Unfortunately, thanks to a negative experience where I was protected by ebay and knowing there are people out there that are trying to take advantage of certain situations, I want to say that whomever purchases this item is purchasing brand new, never opened Ankis. From what I understand, the batteries are very delicate. The battery should last 15-20 minutes but even those these are new, the batteries may NOT work no matter what part of the world these are used in. In this case, since the manufacturer no longer exists, please know that you will have to purchase a new battery, which I understand is easy to find. To avoid problems, I am stating that the batteries may not work. If you want a 100% functioning battery, do not purchase this because I cannot guarantee it. I can guarantee that you will receive a brand new, unopened item with the original battery. These were made years back so they may or may not work. Do not purchase this if you don't want to have to purchase a new battery. It seems they cost less than $10.
