DESCRIPTION:
The Rokinon 100mm f2.8 Full Frame Macro in Sony E Mount is newest of 10 Rokinon lenses that offer Full Frame Coverage for Sony Full Frame E Mount cameras. This high performance lens is also compatible with APS-C sensor Sony E Mount cameras with which it yields a focal length equivalent of 150mm.
Highly versatile, its short telephoto focal length is great for portraiture and candids, while the close focusing ability to 12 inches (Without the need of extension tubes) provides ample working distance and a 1:1 (Life Size) reproduction ratio.
The Rokinon 100mm Macro also sports an internal focusing design to prevent the length of the barrel from changing and the filter mount from rotating as you focus .This allows for better lighting of the image area, the easier use of filters such as polarizers and is particularly important when shooting live subjects.
Features include a circular 9-blade diaphragm for superb out-of-focus highlights (Bokeh), high performance ED glass elements, UMC anti-reflective Ultra Multi-Coating, and tight color matching to the Rokinon lens system.
Optically, the lens showed excellent edge-to-edge image sharpness, even wide open, and delivered smooth, pleasing bokeh. But most importantly, it opened my eyes to the wondrous world of macro photograph
