Freddie Francis was an English cinematographer and film director. He achieved his
greatest successes as a cinematographer, including winning two Academy Awards for
 Sons and Lovers (1960) and Glory (1989). Other cinematography credits include:
Elephant Man (1980), The French Lieutenant's Woman (1981), Cape Fear (1991). As a 
 director, he had a cult following in the 1960s with some of his horror and science fiction
 films for including: The Evil of Frankenstein (1963), Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (1965),
 Dracula Has Risen from the Grave (1968).
