We are pleased to offer an early silverplated sugar sifter in Persian, a classic pattern. It's one of the first silverplate flatware patterns and as such, was made by a number of manufacturers; this piece came from 1847 Rogers Bros., circa 1871.  This piece has a fluted bowl that shows remnants of its original gold wash or gilding.  It was used to sprinkle sugar on berries at the fashionable dinner table!

Condition:  Very good - there is some shadow on the back of the bowl and a small shadow on the handle (see photos);  otherwise no silver wear or loss.  There are no monograms and the pattern is crisp and well defined.  It has been hand polished so there will be no surprises.  Any dark spots in the photos are reflections only.

Size:  6 1/2" long.

Shipping:  Buyer to pay actual shipping costs;  insurance is included as a handling fee.  New York State residents pay 8% sales tax or provide valid resale number.

Returns:  If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please let us know right away.  We are happy to accept returns, however, we will not reimburse postage unless we agree that we inadvertently misrepresented the item.
