On April 30, 2010, in North Hollywood, California, the Postal Service™ issued a 44–cent Animal Rescue: Adopt a Shelter Pet special stamp in ten designs, designed by Derry Noyes of Washington, DC and promoted by Ellen DeGeneres.
The 10 pets (5 dogs and 5 cats) depicted on the stamps were photographed by Sally Andersen-Bruce near her home in New Milford, Connecticut. All had been homeless at one time; all but one had been adopted when they were photographed.
The information sheet provided by World Wide Line says, "The vibrant, full color design has been lithographed on special paper and positioned, by hand, on each individual ceramic coaster. Using precise amounts of heat and pressure, inks are fused into the polymer coated surface. Some scratches are a natural part of use."
This USPS collectible 4 ½" tall x 3 ¼" diameter 16 oz. mug pictures a dog named JAKE. The photo is on both sides of the mug and that face will bring a smile to any animal lover! The mug is NEW, in mint condition - no chips or cracks - never used.
