Up for sale is a vintage Hamilton time stamp watch from the 1950's that was made for military use. From what I have found online, this watch was made by Hamilton for military contractor Edgerton, Germeshausen & Grier, Inc. This watch goes inside a camera for the purpose of putting a timestamp on photographs. A picture of the watch appears on the photos taken by the camera, thereby showing the time the photo was taken. Some uses of these watches were in cameras that were used to photograph nuclear tests, spy surveillance photos taken from planes and photos taken with submarine periscopes. These watches do not show up very often. The watch is manual wind and is in working condition. It measures about 3 5/8" long, 1 11/16" wide, and 11/32" thick. Please view the photos and ask questions as needed.
