Battery disposal

The following note is aimed at end users who use batteries or products with built-in batteries and who no longer sell them in the form supplied to them:

1. Free return of old batteries:

Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return old batteries so that proper disposal can be guaranteed. You can hand in used batteries at a municipal collection point or in your local retailer. However, you also have the option of returning the used batteries from our articles with sufficient postage or returning them free of charge to our address at the following address:

2. Meaning of the battery symbols:

Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed out wheelie bin. This symbol indicates that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.

Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 mass percent lead
Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium
Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury
