Laid down in 1974 as SS Green Harbour a Maritime Administration type (C9-S-81f) Lighterage Aboard Ship (LASH) Cargo Ship, at Avondale Industries, New Orleans, LA.

Launched and delivered in 1974 to the Maritime Administration for operation by Central Gulf Line

Chartered by the Military Sealift Command (MSC) in 1992 from Central Gulf Lines and placed in service as SS Green Harbour (AK-2064)

SS Green Harbour was assigned to Maritime Prepositioning Ship Squadron Two at Diego Garcia until 2001

Returned to her owners for scrapping upon completion of her contract with MSC
