Published by Victor Gollancz Ltd in 1938, this autobiographical account of Vespa cover his spy years firstly for the Allies in World War I following Japanese Forces into China, then a spy for a Chinese Manchurian Warlord and finally for the Japanese from 1932. An amazing account of China/ Japanese cultural and military life during the interwar periods.
