Wahl-Eversharp invented in around
1915, the first propelling pencil to be successfully mass produced and
marketed, while Wahl was the brand name of some of the finest fountain pens
ever made. This area of manufacture was so competitive that new styles,
colours, materials and products were constantly developed.
This wonderful propelling pencil
has an elegantly plain silver plated case with a pocket clip to attach it in to a pocket. The barrel is incised, it reads:
EVERSHARP
The mechanism still rotates
smoothly to extend the lead. There is some minor wear to the plate.
The pencil is being
offered in good antique condition, it measures about 10.1cm in length.
A highly sought after collectable
piece.
