This adapter allows you to record or play VHS-C tapes using all VHS home VCRs. Loading and unloading the tape into the adapter is done automatically when the shutter is closed and opened. This is why it is essential to use a 1.5 V R6 type battery.
PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT AN ADAPTER FOR 8mm DV HI8 Video8 or mini-DV CASSETTES (It doesn't exist!!)

If it was a sony camcorder you had then it's definitely not VHS-C they never used that format!
