Here on offer are 3 antique Chinese engraved mother of pearl gaming counters, with finely engraved details on both sides.

On the front of the round counter, is a landscape containing a temple framed by a finely worked border. The reverse has a pretty lattice design. It measures 28mm in diameter and is free of damage.

The other two counters are rectangular in shape, each feature a single central blossom in a hatched frame. The design is repeated on the reverse. The Longer of the two measures 49mm by 13mm and is free of damage. The last one measures 34mm by 23mm, one side has a superficial crack, the counter is stable and secure.

I am told these counters date from the 19th Century and were made by a craftsmen with a burin or graver tool, possibly for a wealthy Englishman travelling abroad.

These antique gaming counters are in great condition with fine detailing still intact. Each counter is made from thick mother of pearl close to 1mm thick.

A wonderful addition for any collector

Please see my pictures for detail of the condition.
