In 1973, Stephen King made history in the horror genre (and launched himself as a literary giant in the process) when he authored the novel CARRIE - the tale of an adolescent girl with telekinetic powers, who takes brutal revenge on the students who have cruelly mocked and ostracized her. The bestseller spawned three successive movie adaptations: the 1976 Brian de Palma classic CARRIE (starring Sissy Spacek, Piper Laurie and John Travolta), a sequel 23 years later, entitled THE RAGE: CARRIE 2 - in which another young woman, Rachel, suffers from similar cruelties and also takes telekinetic revenge; and a 2002 remake of the 1976 film, starring Angela Bettis in the role popularized by Spacek. All three films appear in this box set.
